Holidays!

Panache_closed We're off on holidays tomorrow - I'm really excited. We're going to head west on the bullet train tomorrow morning, and after that don't have any firm plans. I want to see Hiroshima and Miyajima, and then go on to explore Kyushu. Should be fun!

So, this week has been mostly getting ready to go away; finishing writing and the website for the magazine ahead of time, doing lots of washing, and researching stuff online. I also wanted to finish a birthday present for my mum so I can put it in the post before we leave. The sewing machine is still broken - although I have managed, with help from my landlady to find a repair shop, so will drop it off today - so I made one of the little bags from Omiyage - it was really fun to sew, and a lot simpler than I'd expected. It was fun to listen to the radio online (mostly ABC's News Radio), despite all the bad news this week, and stitch away.

Just de-lurking too. Love the Tie one on fish aprons.

What an adorable bag! Do you know where I might find a tutorial in English for it?
I really enjoy your site, thanks!
