Ever since I made my Tova top, at the end of 2011, I've been planing to sew another. The first one has had so much wear - it's easy to throw on with jeans or a skirt but somehow looks much smarter than a t-shirt. I even bought some Liberty fabric in March, specifically for another Tova top, and some more for a dress version.
But I always have trouble cutting in to Liberty (I know I'm not alone). The fabric is so lovely that I worry about messing it up. I have fabric I bought in London two years ago, that I still haven't dared cut in to. So I may have put off sewing the Tova anyway, but then along came Easter and then a couple of months of buying and selling houses, which was the perfect excuse to put off sewing. Anyway, I finally finished this last weekend and I am so glad - I love the print (Anne Tyrrell Tana Lawn) and the style is so comfortable. And it feels good to get fabric out of the sewing room and a garment in to the wardrobe.
