This blog has brought many opportunities and good things my way over the years. The best has been the chance to connect with people who like the same things I do, some of whom have become great friends. There was also the time I got to write columns on Japanese men's fashion for a US based website. And occasionally I've been invited to events or to contribute to projects because of this space. But by far the most random has been the publication of my Rude Food photos from Japan in this book. The author contacted me a few months ago asking if he could include them, and I said yes although I thought the resolution would most likely be too low - several were taken with a camera phone way back in about 2005. But then last week a copy of the book turned up in the post. Definitely one to add to the CV, don't you think?
